You justly wonder why I think a kitchen of philosophy is necessary. After all, you’ve never been to one. Why, indeed, aren’t philosophy departments, books, journals, conferences, numerous podcasts and other instructive projects enough to carry the light of inquiry into the deeper, Big Questions of being?
ABOUT ME
I AM Daniel
A philosopher by calling. Instead of a standard abbreviated biography, let me tell you why I’m here.
I have been a contemplative soul from an early age, touched by a nebulous distance between my fragile, incipient self and the landscape of my reality. Only later, when the institutional underpinnings of human development subsumed my distinctive perspective on the world around me, that this innate quality found its name: philosophy.
Sometime in early 2025, I listened to a popular neuroscience podcast a friend recommended. The content, as it turned out, struck a latent chord in my philosophical disposition far beyond its original neuroscientific scope, providing the exact stimulus it seemed to be waiting for.
